What you do pay for: tokens.
Agents call models through your own OpenRouter key, so the model provider bills you directly. Sanctorum meters every run in USD and sums it per delegation tree, so the ceiling you set is the ceiling you get.
A failed run is still a billed run — providers charge before a tool-compatibility check rejects the request. Images cost roughly 4–5¢ each; speech cost is estimated high on purpose.
